New
Harmony, just off exits 40 and 42 of I-15, lies in a beautiful
valley 33 miles north of St George and 18 miles south of Cedar
City, home of the Tony Award winning Shakespeare Festival.
This beautiful valley is nestled at
the base of the Pine Valley Mountains, the Harmony Mountains and
the gorgeous soaring red rock cliffs of the Kolob Canyons.

The
Kolob Canyons are a separate part of Zion National Park and
feature moderate to difficult hikes, including a 14 mile
roundtrip hike to Kolob arch.
The
main part of Zion NP can be reached in less than an hour by car.
Within an hour drive of New Harmony, one
can take in the gorgeous views of Cedar Breaks National Monument
at 10400 ft elevation and the surrounding alpine meadows of
Dixie National Forest crisscrossed with many hiking and mountain
biking trails.
In an additional hour, Bryce Canyon
National Park
can be viewed with all its fascinating rock
formations.
Weather permitting, the nearby Kolob
Terrace offers slot canyon access (with permits) and Snow Canyon
within an hour, is known for its short scenic hikes.
In close proximity are several reservoirs,
known for successful fishing such as Panguitch Lake, Yankee
Meadow, Kolob Reservoir, Sand Hollow and Quail Lake.
Brian Head Ski Area and Yankee
Meadow Reservoir and the nearby Harmony Mountains have many
first class mountain biking and ATV trails.
Few places in our beautiful country
have such quick access to so many hiking, horseback riding,
mountain biking
and ATV trails.
The
closest city to New Harmony is
Cedar
City which is home to the world-renowned Utah Shakespearean
Festival (starting the end of June), the Utah Summer Games and
